Wiley X lens technologies and colors

March 17th, 2010

Wiley X lens is produced using the precise amount of dyes in the manufacturing process, which eliminates eye fatigue and strain. For UV protection, Wiley X lens blocks 400 nm or 100% of the sun’s harmful rays. All types of Wiley X lens are made of pure shatterproof SeleniteTM polycarbonate, which exceeds ANSI Z87.1 safety and ANSI Z80.3 optical standards. Wiley X also provides a wide range of tints.

Wiley X lens applies a lot of technologies in Wiley X ‘NO TRARS’ series, Wiley X ‘HVP’ series lens, and Wiley X polarized lens.

LATM (light adjustable) Wiley X lens darkens on bright sunny days so that shields eyes from UV rays. On overcast days, the lens changes to clear for clarity. This technology helps you out of interchangeable lenses. LATM Wiley X lens also uses shatterproof polycarbonate, which is much different than old photochromic lenses. Filter 3TM Wiley X lens is competent during the day and at night, since it combines a new crystal gradient lens with a flash silver mirror, which absorbs glare from the sun. Filter 2TM Wiley X lens joins its neutral slate lens with bronze brown dyes so that it is perfect for daytime riding. It uses grey hues to cover the top half of the lens, blocking the above sunlight.

Wiley X lens uses some multi-coat mirrors: blue lunar mirror, emerald green mirror and silver steel mirror. For colors, Wiley X lens provides numerous combinations, such as neutral slate, bronze brown, pale yellow, light rust, smoke green, just to name quite a few.
