The lifespan of glasses not only depends on the materials quality, but also your maintenance. Generally speaking, a pair of glasses has a lifespan of 2 years. We suggest a new pair of glasses to those who have worn over two years. Daily wearing will decrease the light transmittance of lenses and abrade coatings. Besides, your vision comfort will be affected by the deformation of frames.
Following our tips to take care of your glasses.
1. Put on and put off your glasses with both hands to avoid them be out of shape by unbalanced force.
2.Put your glasses in box with lens upwards to avoid any scratch, when you do not use them.
3.Wipe your glasses with wet or dry cleaning cloth carefully and gently. Improper force will damage the coating of the lens.
4.Rimless glasses and semi-rimless glasses are more fragile than full frame glasses. So please be more careful. The screws of rimless glasses are prone to get loose. Please use our screwdriver to tighten them up after a period of using. For semi-rimless glasses, the nylon strings are fragile and the lenses are prone to drop out. So do not push the lens hardly.
5.If your glasses get in touch with water or sweat, please clean and dry up the glasses with the cloth. It’s very crucial for metal frames or nose pads to avoid corrosion.
6.Don’t wear your glasses on the top of your head. That may deform the frame. Also, there’s a possibility of them falling off and getting damaged by wearing like that.
7.Don’t put your glasses at a high temperature such as the front panel of your car. Especially in the summer, eyeglasses left in the car will get exposed to direct sunlight. Excessive heat can damage eyeglass lenses and lens coatings as well as cause plastic frames discoloration and deformation.
