How to look at the sun without hurting your eyes ?

March 18th, 2015

Sweetie, if you mean expose your bare eyes under the sunlight, I think you’d better wear a pair of sunglasses. Sunglasses can block UV coating and protect our eyes. If you mean how to observe the sun, you can make a pin-hole lens. You just need to take two pieces of cardboard and one of them should be thin. And then make a small hole in the middle of the thin piece. The hole should be as round as possible. And then hold the piece of thin cardboard between the sun and the other piece. You can observe the sun now. And if you change the distance between the two pieces of cardboard, you will get different phenomenon..

How to make eye cream with cucumbers?

March 18th, 2015

Well, I can tell you how to make eye cream with cucumbers but you may also need to prepare other necessary products or implements. In all, they are 1 small cucumber, 1 cup plain yogurt, 3 tbsp very strong brewed green tea, 1 empty ice cube tray, teaspoon, small knife, measuring cup and mixing bowl. After having all of them at hand, you can peel the skin of the cucumber and cut it into small pieces, and then puree it in a blender and put in the mixing bowl. Then you may need to add 4 tablespoons of very strongly brewed green tea into the mixing bowl. Caffeine can help constrict the blood vessels under our eyes and green tea has very high caffeine content. That’s the reason why I suggest you to use green tea other than other kind of tea. Next, you can add 1 cup of plain yogurt in the mixing bowl. Then, you can stir them together and spoon them into ice cube tray and put them in the freezer. 15 to 20 minutes later, you can take them out and place some in a plastic bag and hold it under your eyes.

Is weeping good for our eyes health?

March 18th, 2015

Most tears will flow over the surface of your eyes and drain out the corners of your eyelids, through the tear ducts, which lead into the nasal cavity. If you cry an abundance of tears, the tears overflow the nasal cavity and start running out of your nose.Even when you are not crying, tears flow from your lacrimal glands with every blink, moistening your eyes. This moisture – made of water, oil, and mucus – helps to maintain healthy vision. Tears clear your eyes of debris and allow light to enter your eyes so you can see.

What’s better for eyes health? Plasma TV’s or LCD TV’s?

March 18th, 2015

As far as quality, to a discerning eye, the picture in an LCD might be better than a plasma, but I think the plasma’s outputting a 1080p signal look pretty good next to an LCD. Plasma’s use two glass screens with the gas sandwiched between them, so you’ll get glare from other light sources. So if you have lots of lamps or lots of windows with no shades, LCD might be the better way to go. The black levels on a plasma are going to be better than on an LCD, because instead of blocking the back light to get the color black like on an LCD, plasma’s simply cut the power to the area of the screen that’s showing black, so you get a much truer black.

Does it hurt my eyes to sit close to the TV?

March 18th, 2015

While spending too much time staring at a TV screen can tire the eyes, there’s no evidence to show that it causes permanent damage. As with every other activity, moderation is the key. If your eyes start to burn or feel strained, close your eyes for a couple of minutes to rest them. If that doesn’t work, turn off the TV and give your eyes a longer break.

How to boost your kid’s eye health?

March 18th, 2015

Parents are often anxious about their kids’ eye health and are equally confused about how to take care of this vital organ. Here are some ways for parents to boost your kids’ eye health. Firstly, you should ask your kid to practice the 20/20/20 approach, which means that after 20 minutes of computer work or near reading ask your child to focus at an object placed 20 feet away for 20 seconds.Remember to relax and blink frequently while taking these breaks. Secondly, encourage your kid to do outdoor activities. Recent studies have shown that children spending more time outdoors have a slower progression of myopia or nearsightedness, which is usually common among school going children. Thirdly, offer your kid with a balanced diet. Lutein and zeaxanthin, carotenoid pigments are essential components for eye health. These are the same components that impart yellow or orange colour to various common foods such as cantaloupe, pasta, corn, carrots, orange/yellow peppers, fish, salmon and eggs. Fourthly, practice good focusing techniques. Always encourage your child to follow good focusing habits, which mean to avoid near reading and activities that could lead to too much eye strain.
